Message From the Founder, Evangelist Grace Manjau (Mama Mwai)

Much has been said concerning women and the ministry. Some religious people believe that women should not be ministers of the Gospel. They say women should be silent in the church. I have no quarrel with that, actually I believe both men and women should be silent in the church and allow only the Holy Spirit to speak, Praise the Lord because the Holy Spirit is the one who chooses the vessels He would like to use. The Holy Spirit decides whether he would like to use a man or a woman.

Due to opposition, many called women ministers have been discouraged and some of them almost doubt their calling to the ministry.

The Lord spoke to me and also put a burden in my heart to begin a Women Ministers fellowship so that we can be praying together, encourage one another and to fellowship together.

By the grace of God, this fellowship was founded on 10th May, 2002 with a deep desire of unity according to our Lord’s prayer: ‘May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me’ (John 17:23).

The Lord announced the Word and great was the company of those who proclaimed it (Psalms 68:11). As we continue to be in the company of those who are in the army of the Lord, our God will arise and his enemies will be scattered. We believe united in Christ we shall be strong. This will be possible if we have love for one another (1 John 3:11).

This fellowship is held every second Friday of the month between 8.00am and 1.00 pm. At the moment, we have a heavy burden to pray for our nation of Kenya. This is what the Lord Almighty says, ‘consider now, call for the wailing women to come. Send for the most skilful of them. Let them come quickly and wail over us’. Women know the pain of giving birth and God is calling forth his maiden servant to bring forth the seed of righteousness.

In bitterness of soul, Hannah wept much and prayed to the Lord Almighty. She made a vow saying, ‘O Lord Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant, but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, 1 Samuel 1:10. Women it is time to bring forth the seed of righteousness. It will cause a lot of travailing but with God nothing is impossible Lk 1:37.

If you are a sister in the Lord and a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, then Women Ministers Fellowship is your fellowship. It doesn’t matter which part of the world you are from. We can pray, encourage one another and fellowship together. Please Email us at gcharisma@yahoo.com.uk
