Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. -Matthew 5:16

Exultation

It is not difficult to be kind and generous to others when everything is going well for you. However, when times are lean and your cup is almost empty, being kind and generous to others may seem like trying to scale Mt Kilimanjaro on bare feet - difficult and torturous! It is however during such times when your true self comes out - either shining like a beacon upon a hill, or as dark as hell itself. Showing kindness and generosity to others even when you are going through a storm is the noblest thing you can do. To extend your hand to save a drowning person when you are holding for dear life by clutching at a straw is a demonstration of a love so great that self takes a back seat in disbelief. We need to emulate Jesus Christ who, although not a sinner, chose to die so that we could live forever. Let your light always shine - in season and out of season; when the sun is up and when the sun goes down. When you do this, you will illuminate everywhere you go and everyone you meet.
