Exultation

There are things you can change - and things you cannot change. For instance you can't change your biological mother or father - it's impossible. However, you can change yourself and the way you look at things. You can see things the way you want to see them. To be or not to be depends on whatever you want to be. The external environments may indicate that it's a gloomy day. But the internal environment, your self, can negate this very assertion and declare that 'it's a beautiful day'. So what is it going to be? A gloomy day or a bright new day bursting with promise, hope and confidence? The choice is yours - and it comes from within you! As you set out to do what you have to do today, remember that you have it within your power - and control - to change the way you look at things (or the way things look at you). It all depends on whether you have the willingness to take charge of your destiny and steer your ship wherever you want to go. It's your day! Get in the driver's seat! - by Innocent Mwangi
