Todays
quote
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm
and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is
compelled to struggle for existence against the winds and rains and the
scorching sun. - by Napoleon Hill
Today's
verse
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon
that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. - Matthew 7:25.
Exultation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To stand firm in times of plenty and ease is easy. However, to stand firm in the
midst of adversity and afflictions requires strength, courage and an unwavering
dependence upon God. To be able to smile and hold strong even when going through
tumultuous storms is a true sign of maturity. We should aspire to graduate from
cry-babies and into mature full-grown and dependable people who can stand for
truth, no matter what popular opinion dictates. To be hit by a ferocious storm
and still remain standing is evidence that you are ready to forge ahead no
matter what comes your way. People who are focused and determined do not allow
setbacks to discourage them. Rather, after the storm has receded, they shake the
water off their clothes, wipe their eyes, and continue moving towards their
objective. The progress may be slow, tortuous, and sometimes even unnoticeable -
unless seen through the eyes of faith - but as sure as light breaks out at
daybreak, they ultimately reach their object. - by Innocent Mwangi
