Have you ever wondered why every time you set out to achieve something, other
issues crop up along the way, and, before you know it, you are way too far off
the mark? Every day I find myself confronted by myriads of obstacles such that
it is often very difficult to remain focussed. In previous issues of Quote and
Verse, I discussed about maintaining a dogged determination as a vital
ingredient to achieving our objectives. Though it is not as easy as I make it
sound, it is nonetheless important that we distil the noise from our daily
activities and concentrate only on those things or tasks that inch us closer to
our goals. Anything that takes your attention away from your goals is noise -
